American Infrastructure wins ARTBA
Work Zone Safety Award

The American Road and Transportation Builders Association recently announced that American Infrastructure will be a recipient of a "2003 Work Zone Safety Award". This is a national awards program through ARTBA  in which  AI is one of three construction companies nationwide that will be receiving an award in December at the Mid-West Work Zone Safety Conference in Springfield, Illinois. This ARTBA awards competition is designed to recognize specific safety programs, education campaigns, technological innovations, and news stories that demonstrate excellence in promoting safety in roadway construction zones. Our award was based on our Work Zone Safety Program, including the Safety Training programs, innovations with Crash Truck use and policy, and the work zone pocket guide.

As part of our work zone safety training programs AI will be come the first contractor on the east coast to become a training partner with the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), which will enable us to certify employees "in-house" with the ATSSA Traffic Control Technician, and the ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor courses. These 1 and 3 day certification course will begin as part of winter safety training, and be offered on a continual basis in the future.
