AI Rank Moves Up In ENR Top 400

In its latest nationally published rankings, Engineering News-Record (ENR) has listed American Infrastructure as #112 of America’s Top 400 Contractors based on sales volume. Since its inception in 1999, American Infrastructure has grown each year, as illustrated on the chart (right). Also, among heavy and highway contractors, ENR places AI at #20 of its Top 50 list, up from #25 last year, and moves AI to #62 in its Top 200 environmental contractors list. Successful growth initiatives, motivated and creative people and a shared commitment to excellence have come together to produce this result, and everyone at AI and its operating units can be proud of their contribution to this achievement.

American Infrastructure Partners With HBA On
"Save a Tree, Plant a Tree" Program

New berm and transplanted tree line naturally separate
commercial and residential spaces.
The Homebuilders Association (HBA) of Bucks and Montgomery Counties (PA) has introduced its “Save
a Tree, Plant a Tree” initiative to promote environmental conservation awareness. In support, builder Jim Moulton, HBA immediate past president, recently donated 14 trees to Lower Salford Park from his adjacent construction site. The trees, which would have otherwise been cut down, were transplanted by American Infrastructure, also an HBA member.

Use of our tree spade and a crew were donated to move the trees, the final few being transplanted at a public ceremony held at the park in April. In attendance were Jim
Moulton, Lower Salford Township officials, state senator Robert Wonderling and Dan Howse of American Infrastructure. The crowd watched in amazement as the tree spade effortlessly unearthed, transported and transplanted mature trees at the site.

In terms of raising awareness of the public on the importance of environmental conservation, few things make an impression like watching our tree spade at work.

Another HBA member-company, W.B. Homes of North Wales, PA, has recently contracted with American Infrastructure to perform mature-tree transplanting at their new residential project, Ashbourne Estates, in Skippack, PA. This assignment includes moving a mix of 72 evergreen and deciduous trees on the site, preserving much of the natural beauty and creating a natural barrier between a commercial site and the area where new homes will be attractively sited. New nursery plantings would take decades to achieve the look that was created in a matter of days. “Save a Tree, Plant a Tree” is truly an idea whose time has come.
