Changing Landscapes, Adding Value

Repositioning mature trees on a site is the fastest way to measurably enhance the aesthetic, environmental and economic value of any development or project.

As a full-service site development and heavy and highway contractor, American Infrastructure has always held that we should leave a place better than we found it. So, before there was any mention of “green,” we were already embracing the concept.

Today’s “green” initiatives, as they apply to building and construction, form a framework for planning, design and building practices which are resource-efficient and environmentally responsible.

On-site tree harvesting and transplanting become practical and efficient when the right equipment is on the job.

Within that framework, our focus here is trees, and specifically, mature trees. Trees represent perhaps the most literally “green” resource there is, abundant on many sites and often underutilized as an integral part of the final landscape.

Through smart pre-planning and the right equipment, we work with designers, developers and municipal decision makers to optimize the measurable aesthetic, environmental and economic benefits that on-site trees can yield.

In the past, many sites contained considerable mature-tree resources, but they were inaccessible. But with the equipment you see here, nearly every desirable tree on your site is accessible and can be utilized to modify or create landscapes, ensure privacy and enhance value.

American Infrastructure’s one-of-a-kind tree spade is the product of two years of design collaboration between our equipment managers, German tree spade manufacturer Optimal and Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo. The result is a tree spade built to work in some of the most rugged landscapes. Its all-wheel drive, unmatched maneuverability and a unique spade design make more on-site trees transplant candidates than ever before.
